2021年11月11日Bad Boy is a 2013 Telugu film directed by Sreenu Vaitla and produced by D. Suresh Babu. The film stars Mohanlal, Krishnudu, and Sanusha in the lead roles. Mohanlal plays Gopi as a bad guy who takes revenge on those who have wronged him or his family. Bad Boy was widely critically acclaimed as well as commercially successful at the box-office. It was declared a "Blockbuster" by Box Office India. The film was dubbed in Tamil as "Kadavul" and Hindi as "Badke".
Bad Boy is a remake of the 1980 super-hit Hindi film of the same name. It is a revenge drama where Gopal Krishna (Mohanlal) is an angry young man, who has done wrongs to his family, but he wants to do right by them. Gopal Krishna impresses Jangaiah Babu (Krishnudu) who believes that his sins can be forgiven if he agrees to kill Aarushi (Sanusha). Gopal Krishna agrees to kill Aarushi, but he falls in love with her along the way.
Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. All songs are blockbusters except "Chinna Chinna" and "O Nenu". Music released on Aditya Music.
The film was initially titled as "Bad Boy" with Mohanlal in the lead role. But Suresh Babu who produced the film had bought rights of the original Hindi blockbuster of 1980s under same title. He later changed the title to "Bad Boy" after getting permission from the original makers.
The film’s soundtrack is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Lyrics are penned by Vaali. The original audio was released on 7 September 2013.
The soundtrack has five songs, all of which have been blockbusters in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. "Chinna Chinna" and "O Nenu" were dubbed into Tamil as "Kadavul" and Hindi as "Badke".
The film received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Behindwoods rated it 3/5 and wrote "Mohanlal’s assured performance in the title role is the highlight of this revenge drama that looks at a typical case of a man who takes up revenge in a cold-blooded manner". Sify wrote "Gopi is a remake of a super hit Hindi film Bad Boy with equally big star Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The director Sreenu Vaitla has successfully attempted to make an excellent thriller in Telugu with his own style. A must watch".
